The Rattler•C is the 2017 version of one of the first styles of putters I tried to mill, when I got my first chance to use a Bridgeport-style mill.  When it comes to the classics, there are usually two camps.  One camp likes the rounded bumpers and the way that they roll into the floor of the flange so elegantly and softly.  They like soft lines, large rounded corners and a bit of a beefy look to their putter.  For that camp, the MA/66 is hard to beat.

Now, the other camp likes a narrower footprint and a little harder lines.  Flat bumpers that have a top that runs parallel to the bottom of the putter, that is split into three softened planes.  They prefer a little harder lines that, for the most part, all run perpendicular to their target line, with the exception of the edges of the cavity in the back that will be firm lines running the same direction and almost add a little sight aid, themselves.  For that group, I introduce the Rattler•C.

The Rattler has been part of my line-up for years, but was always a fully handmade putter that required a decent amount of time to mill from billet and carried a price tag that was in relation to that effort expended.  This Summer, I was fortunate enough to have a batch of heads created via CNC that will cut the time needed and give me a bit of a head start over machining from a block, on a Bridgeport mill.
Like its cousin, the MA/66, the Rattler•C is designed to allow for a very wide range of weights and options.  The customer is able to choose his/her neck style that fits their eye and stroke.  They can choose headweight in a range from 330 grams all they way up to 385-400 grams, I believe.  A choice involving whether or not a cavity is machined into the back of the blade or pocket is part of the option list, as well as finish, a reasonable amount of stamping and a choice of three distinctly different milling patterns for the face of their putter.

All heads are machined from 1018 Cold Rolled Steel, but the material used for the neck is open to the same metal or, for a reasonable upcharge they can have a neck of 303 Stainless Steel.  The charge depends upon the style and time involved in fabricating the alternative neck.

For standard grips, I have chosen PURE Grips, either standard size or mid-sized in black.  Other colors come available from time to time, please ask if you are interested and we will give you a list of what is in stock.

I also offer Super Stroke grips for an additional $20, just to cover the difference in my hard cost.  I normally stock Flatso 1.0 and 2.0, as well as the newer Pistol GT Tour and 1.0 size.  I have access to most sizes, so don't be afraid to request it.

There have been a very small number of these heads built as testers, so my pictures are somewhat limited.   My first run was just 50 heads and as an incentive, I am offering to number every putter from that run of 50.
