When I was playing more golf and found myself in need of a good pitch mark repair tool, I constantly was faced with trying to use stamped metal tools that courses pass out as promotional items. They never seemed to stay in my pockets and even worse, I was always finding marks that other players had attempted to fix, but did more damage with the 2-prong tools than the mark itself would have inflicted. For that reason, I developed this unique tool that can easily fit in your pocket, but do the job of repairing your pitch marks, without damaging the root structure of the turf that is affected. When used correctly, the single-prong repair tools are much preferred by golf course superintendents, nationwide.
They were originally introduced in 2013, but suspended when a key physical part of the first design was no longer available. I tried a few different designs, both single- and dual-prong versions, but always came back to this very simple, straight-forward design. After five years in moth balls, the Mann•Made 6061 Pitch Mark repair tool came back to life after a small change was made and samples were tested with rave reviews. With the simple design inspired by the original divot tool, a good old fashion golf tee, this is truly the definition of simple yet genius design.
NOTE: Each pitch mark repair tool is crafted as part of a small batch, not made elsewhere and stocked on my shelves. For that reason, the build time for a divot tool can vary from a few days to a week. With the demand increasing for my putters, I have to block out specific times to do the final milling on these tools, stamp and paint fill them. If you need an update, please email me and I will gladly do my best to estimate the finish and ship date for your piece. This applies to all hand milled or turned items in the "GEAR" section.
Also, in crafting them one at a time, I may change up the stamping, slightly and add a small detail, from time to time. If that is a serious concern in your purchase, please note it when you order and I will make yours exactly as the one in the pictures, here.
Thanks for your support and excitement for my work.
BTW, the golf ball in those pictures was just to give you an idea as to the size of the tool. Bridgestone Golf took great care of me for several years and the logo'd balls were an amazing gift. They are no longer available with that logo, but if you have not tried Bridgestone, lately then you really should give them a new look.
