The length was shortened, the flange was rounded and left at maximum width, and a hand turned hosel tied it to the shaft, via a 308 SS Tig weld between neck and body. Then, I fired up the heat and let it warm up a bit. When the carbon steel turns to the deep blues, the 308 SS weld becomes the center of a sweet, polished gold necklace between the two pieces. The end result is a gorgeous Raw Torch'd putter with come simple, clean stamping.
It will be shafted tomorrow and head for its new home on Monday.
